Nick Reynolds joins Newcastle Falcons

Newcastle Falcons have signed centre Nick Reynolds until the end of the current season.

Standing at 6 foot 1 and weighing 97kg the 27-year-old joins from Greene King IPA Championship side London Welsh, and begins training with his new team-mates today.

Born in Wales, the English-qualified midfield man played 31 Pro 12 games and a further five in the Heineken Cup for Scarlets before joining London Welsh in the summer of 2014.

During the Exiles’ single season in the Premiership he made 18 starts and touched down four tries, last season scoring five tries in 19 outings.

Newcastle Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said: “Nick is an experienced centre who was available at the right time for us.

“He is English-qualified, he has a lot going for him and we have an extended opportunity to have a close look at him during the back half of this season.”

Newcastle Falcons are next in action on Sunday when Lyon are the visitors to Kingston Park Stadium in the European Challenge Cup. Tickets for the 3pm kick-off are available by calling 0871 226 6060.
