Nortech Group’s charity day for Daisy Chain cheques out

Nortech Group has presented its chosen charity Daisy Chain with £2100 raised at its Annual Golf Day & Shoot.

Nortech Group Director, Elaine Bunn met with Holly Abbott, Daisy Chain’s Corporate Partnership Manager, to hand over the cheque at (INSERT PLACE).

The charity day, which was held on 9th June, brought together Nortech employees, clients and guests for a day of golf and clay shooting at Billingham Golf Club and Thimbleby respectively.

Norton-based charity Daisy Chain, which was first established in 2003, provides around 293 hours of respite care a week and supports more than 1,800 families affected by autism in the Tees Valley.

Previously, Nortech’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative, Nortech Cares has raised over £25,000 for charities in the Teesside area alone as part of its ongoing commitment to charities and local causes.

Elaine Bunn, who oversees the Nortech Cares initiative said, “Our annual golf days are always greatly anticipated. It’s not only a great opportunity to have some fun and socialise with important clients, but it also benefits a local charity that’s doing some really important work across our region.

“With that in mind, I would like to thank our sponsors, anyone that donated a prize to our raffle and everyone that participated in the Golf Day. You have all contributed to the sum of money that we are now able to hand over to this wonderful charity.”

Holly Abbott added, “As Nortech’s chosen annual charity, we have received not only financial but physical and emotional support from the company in terms of volunteering from its employees.

“It’s important as a charity to receive ongoing support as without it, we wouldn’t be able to continue our work and reach our goal of helping an increasing number families across the Tees Valley area.”
