Jocelyn BrownA NORTH East venue is set to make a splash as it celebrates the tenth anniversary of one of its most popular events.

Hardwick Hall Hotel, County Durham, will be hosting the annual Lobster Charity Ball on April 24 in aid of the autism charity, Daisy Chain.

Attended by hundreds of people every year, the 2015 event promises to be more exciting than ever with a strong line-up of entertainment headed up by soul singer, Jocelyn Brown.

Compered by comedian and TV entertainer Brendan Healy, the evening will also feature pop and soul group Black and White and big band Musicians Unlimited.

The black tie event will give guests the chance to sample a four course gourmet lobster surf and turf meal prepared by the award-winning chefs from The Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill.

This year’s event also includes a Champagne and canapés reception, along with a Taittinger Champagne bar and complimentary wine, lager and beer for guests all evening.

“The Lobster Charity Ball is one of the most anticipated events on the North East social calendar,” said John Adamson, owner of Hardwick Hall Hotel.

“It’s always an amazing evening and it gives people the opportunity to dress up, have a great time and support a really worthwhile cause.”

The evening will also feature a fashion show with clothes from top menswear store Woven, with the female models taking to the catwalk wearing garments from Sorella in Durham.

Tickets for the evening, which will run from 7pm until 1am, are priced at £145 plus VAT and can be purchased by contacting the venue’s events team on 01740 620253 or by emailing events@hardwickhallhotel.co.uk.

Over the past two years the Lobster Charity Ball has raised around £50,000 for Stockton-based Daisy Chain, which was set up in 2003 to help the needs of children on the autism spectrum and their families.
