Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

North East Hydraulics Firm Powers into Yorkshire and Humber

Andrew in BradfordQuick Hydraulics, one of the North East’s leading hydraulics companies, has announced plans to expand its operations to Bradford, servicing business and industry across Yorkshire and the Humber.

Since being acquired by County Durham-based Altec Engineering in 2015, Quick Hydraulics has already announced plans to expand into Teesside. Its latest announcement, on expansion into West Yorkshire premises, will offer a hydraulic service and repair workshop and fully accredited hydraulic training, across Yorkshire and the Humber.

Along with its sister company, precision engineering firm Sigma Technologies, Quick Hydraulics is to expand its operations, opening as part of Altec Engineering Group’s 21,000 square foot workshop on Euroway Industrial Estate. The workshop is sited on the M606, midpoint on the M62, providing the firm with arterial access to customers across Yorkshire. When fully operational, the new facility will create up to eight hydraulic engineering jobs on the site, which will be overseen by Business Development Manager, Mike Goldsworthy.

Quick Hydraulics, part of the Altec Engineering Group, was founded on Tyneside and has more than 35 years of experience, providing hydraulic service and repair and 20 years of experience running its unique, City and Guilds-accredited, hydraulics training programmes. It has an impressive client book including Nissan, Caterpillar, British Engineering, Siemens Energy, Hartlepool Power Station and SMD.

Andrew Esson, Managing Director of Quick Hydraulics, said: “Quick Hydraulics has been helping industry in the North East keep their hydraulic equipment running for more than 30 years, and training our customer’s engineers for more than 20 years.  Altec Engineering’s investment in a new factory on the Euroway Industrial Estate near Bradford is a perfect opportunity for us to bring our high-quality hydraulic capability to Yorkshire and the Humber.”

Mike Goldsworthy, Business Development Manager of Quick Hydraulics Bradford, said: “This is an exciting development for Quick Hydraulics, and an opportunity for businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber to access a world leading hydraulic service, repair and training capability.”
