Newcastle Law Firm, Jacksons, has launched a new Business Immigration Service to support and advise organisations who employ workers from overseas, particularly following Article 50 being triggered.

Jacksons is providing expert legal advice and updates on the government’s negotiation process, the rules when recruiting workers from overseas, changes to UK immigration rules and the impact leaving the European Union may have on EEA nationals working in the UK and their families.

Stacey West, business immigration and employment solicitor, said: “Many business owners are waiting to find out what the impact of leaving the EU will have on their employees and recruitment processes, so we want to make sure that they are aware of and are complying with their legal obligations in what is set to be a lengthy and complicated process.

“Recruitment and retention of personnel can be key to the success of a business, so it is imperative business owners understand the strict immigration requirements when considering recruiting workers from overseas. If employers do not remain up to date with the latest changes to business immigration requirements, they could risk significant penalties and damage to their reputation.”

Jacksons’ new Business Immigration Service offers businesses the opportunity to sign up for free email updates on developments in business immigration.

Stacey added: “We would encourage business owners to seek appropriate legal advice at the outset to ensure compliance with the immigration rules.”

Jacksons Law Firm is one of the North East’s longest established law firms having been in practice for over 140 years and is well placed to assist its clients on a wide range of both business and personal legal advice.
