Two advisers from North Yorkshire independent financial planning and investment management firm Gale and Phillipson have been named among the best in the UK.
Derek Dryden, Wealth Planning Adviser, and Richard Rutherford, Mortgage Manager, both featured in the Sunday Times guides to the UK’s Top 250 financial and mortgage advisers on Sunday, 10 April.
Derek, who is based at Gale and Phillipson’s Northallerton office, was named in the UK’s Top 250 Independent Financial Advisers based on reviews on the independent consumer ratings website VouchedFor.co.uk.
A specialist in holistic financial planning, Derek joined Gale and Phillipson in 1999, having started his financial services career working in London in 1990. Derek is an investment specialist and works with clients in putting together effective and workable financial plans for life, focusing on tax, protection and building/preserving capital.
His colleague Richard, who is based at Gale and Phillipson’s Richmond office, was listed in the Sunday Times among the UK’s Top 250 mortgage advisers, also based on impartial reviews on the website.
Richard joined Gale and Phillipson in 1997, having previously worked as a Building Society Manager, and he has worked in financial services since leaving school. Richard specialises in mortgage and protection advice and obtains most of his clients from referrals and recommendations. He also works closely with local estate agents, solicitors and accountants.
The Top 250 VouchedFor website helps people to find the best financial, legal and accounting advice from local, reputable, independent firms, and features impartial reviews from clients.
