CIM has today released details of the fourteenth category in their 2017 Northern Awards, sponsored by The Marketing Trust, which will be held in Manchester on Thursday 09 November.
The CIM Northern Awards, now in its fourth year and sponsored by the Marketing Trust, celebrates the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the North of England, including the Isle of Man. There are 17 award categories, 13 of which are open to entries, and the evening event will once again be hosted by TV’s Andy Crane.
Diane Earles, Network Manager for CIM, said “We are thrilled to have Charlie Nettle, Chair of CIM North East and Head of Marketing & Business Development at AV Dawson, to judge our Agency category.” Charlie has been in senior marketing roles since 2000 and began his career in the IT and Education sector before joining the North East Chamber of Commerce in 2007. During his time at NECC he implemented a segmented membership model, which was recognised nationally by the British Chambers of Commerce. Charlie was presented with the national award for Excellence in Membership Services for this work and other Chambers around the UK are now replicating it. Then, following its successful 200th anniversary in 2015, Charlie left NECC to take up a new post with AV Dawson and he is also a non-Executive Director for the mental health charity, Middlesbrough and Stockton MIND.
Charlie will be looking for the best agency that has demonstrated an ongoing and sustained commitment to delivering best practice, demonstrated a creative and innovative approach to marketing for their clients and achieved growth. This category was split into two last year, Small Agency, which was won by Refresh PR, and Large Agency, which was won by Fig.
The deadline for Northern Awards entries is 06 October.
