Norton West Health Fayre, 16th May Education Centre, Norton.

Screen Shot 2015-05-14 at 16.15.31The people of Norton West will be treated to an extravaganza of activities on May16th as the Norton West Health Fayre comes to the Education Centre. The event, funded by Stockton Public Health, aims to promote every aspect of leading wellbeing and living a healthy lifestyle and.

The event, which will be held between 11-3pm at Education Centre on Junction Road in Norton, will entertain such activities as first aid demonstrations, mini coached activities as well as giving helpful information from Cancer Research UK, Healthy Heart Check and Teesside Injury Sports Centre.

One of the main attractions, will be live chef demonstrations displaying healthy cooking techniques and allowing visitors to taste their creations. There are many physical activities for people of all ages to go and get involved in, including coached sports by fully qualified coaches from Norton & Stockton Ancients and ideas for exciting children games by More Life.

One of the few things that everybody in the world has in common is their health, and to pick up basic knowledge and information on things like heart checks, first aid keeping fit can help people and families have a better quality of life.

Norton West Ward Councillor Norma Wilburn said, ‘We all know how important good health is but sometimes maintaining it can feel like a chore. This event aims to show young and old how to enjoy keeping healthy and to publicise all of the many fun and interesting  health giving activities that are available in the Norton West Ward’.
