Newcastle’s iconic jewellery store since 1892, Northern Goldsmiths, is set to host an exclusive exhibition featuring some of world’s finest watch brands from Thursday 23 June to Saturday 25 June 2016.
The Basel & Geneva exhibition will showcase a collection of the latest releases from Baselworld and SIHH Geneva 2016 watch fairs and will be displayed at Northern Goldsmiths this week, and will include timepieces from Rolex, Breitling, Omega and TAG Heuer.
The flagship showroom, which crowns the corner of Blackett Street and Pilgrim Street in the city centre, underwent a £1M refurbishment last summer to restore the building’s original, listed characteristics to its former glory.
Goldsmiths is inviting watch lovers and keen collectors alike to visit the store for this amazing opportunity to be the first to view, touch and try on the brand new, highly sought-after styles before they go on sale.
Visitors will be able to meet Northern Goldsmiths’ team of watch experts whilst browsing and enjoying some light refreshments. Prospective customers can also register their interest on models should they be interested in making a purchase on release.
This is only the second year that Goldsmiths has brought the Basel & Geneva collections to the North East and following last year’s glamorous event at The Biscuit Factory, it is set to be even more decadent with Northern Goldsmiths’ stunning backdrop.

The individually-branded Goldsmiths showroom, is one of the most long-standing in the company’s estate and one of four stores in the Newcastle area. It was also once the central head office to several other Goldsmiths’ stores, prior to its expansion throughout the UK.
