Odyssey Systems has helped realise the dream of a Darlington businessman who is now operating out of his first-ever office as he gears up for growth.

Adrian Williams, who founded architectural firm Apto design in 2011, has moved into a new office at Odyssey Systems’ business centre – a building which Adrian played a key role in the design of the buildings full refurbishment and internal fit-out.

Offering a full architectural service from initial feasibility through to obtaining Planning Permission, Building Regulations approvals and Project Management, Apto design offers a personal one to one service tailored to an individual client’s needs.

Having worked with Mike Odysseas, Managing Director of the telecommunications provider, for a number of years, and after searching for the right office for some time, Adrian was able to secure his own office space at the fully-refurbished offices at the Preston Farm business complex, which is where Odyssey’s headquarters is based.

The 20,000 sq.ft business centre was created at the same time as Odyssey redeveloped its own HQ, which was officially opened by James Wharton MP in 2016. Five SMEs currently operate from the site, with Apto design becoming the latest business to relocate there.

As a result of the office move, Apto design is hoping to take advantage of the additional space with potential for extra growth and job creation.

Adrian Williams, Managing Director of Apto design, said: “The move to my own office space has been a long-time coming and it is fitting that the building I am operating out of is a project which I have been involved with. I have known Mike for many years, working on several projects, and the entire infrastructure is in place here for my firm to operate effectively.

“With the space to grow and excellent facilities, the office will allow me to progress with my expansion plans and, in the not too distant future, start to create employment.”

The Odyssey Systems business centre offers firms a comprehensive telecommunications service, which includes hosted telephony and a fully-synchronous, uncontended Ethernet connection, as well as fingerprint recognition access systems to provide increased security for tenants.

Mike Odysseas, Managing Director of Odyssey Systems, said: “There is nothing more satisfying for a business owner than being handed the keys to your own offices, and I am delighted that we were able to support Adrian and provide him with this momentous occasion. He has real ambition to create jobs and grow his firm, and I would like to wish him all the best, and welcome him to the business centre.”
