Ouseburn Farm Charity in Byker, is set for a windfall thanks to their neighbours at The Cluny.

All proceeds from this year’s Ouseburn Farm II music festival, which has been organised by the music venue, will be donated to the Farm to help it grow.

The festival will be held at The Cluny in the Ouseburn Valley on Sunday 22nd April and includes headline act Paul Smith of British Indie rock group Maximo Park, as well as Headclouds and Idle Hands.

The event also falls on Earth Day and will be supported by Vegware – one of the world’s leading plastic-free brands.

The aim of the event is to raise much needed funds for the Farm but also celebrate everything about the area, the Farm, live music and the environment.

Mick Rolfe, general manager of The Cluny, said: “We are running the event because, as well as being our neighbours, we feel the Farm is a hugely important part of not just the Ouseburn Valley but our city as a whole and a fine example of some of the many elements that make our region so great!”

Chad Male, community and events fundraiser for Ouseburn Farm, said: “We are very grateful to The Cluny for organising this event. We simply wouldn’t exist without the support of the public and 100% of the proceeds from this year’s festival will be raised for the Farm. Last year, we raised over £2,200 and it’d be great to do it all again.

“We’re really looking forward to the event which already includes some massive acts, with more to be announced very soon, including some of the region’s finest talent. It’s a family event too, so there will be something for all ages. There will also be a raffle with prizes from Fenwick, The Biscuit Factory and Ouseburn Tunnel already secured.”

Doors open from 3.00pm until 10.00pm and advance tickets cost £6. Tickets are available to buy now from The Cluny at 36 Lime Street, Ouseburn or online at See Tickets www.seetickets.com
