Following their sold out Christmas tour last year, the number 1 vocal harmony group, The Overtones, are hitting the road once more this July for their Summer Special 2018 tour, visiting Tyne Theatre & Opera House on Friday 13th July.

The quintet, consisting of Timmy, Mark, Lachie, Mike and Darren will head to brand new English cities on this tour, as well as fan favourite venues. This will be their first time at the intimate Tyne Theatre & Opera House for what is guaranteed to be an incredible show!

With a repertoire consisting of covers such as Billy Joel’s ‘The Longest Time’ and originals like ‘Gambling Man’, The Overtones have firmly established their reputation as an act with the unique ability to deliver consistently uplifting music infused with exquisitely crafted vocal harmonies. Equally they deliver the ultimate party live on stage.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2010 with their debut Good Ol’ Fashioned Love, the five piece have sold over a million records and had five Top 5 albums.  The group recently released a new EP titled Happy Days, which features five covers of iconic songs from the screen such as ‘Thank You For Being A Friend’ and ‘Beauty And The Beast’.

2018 promises to be another exciting year for the boys. With the upcoming summer tour this July, there’s also new music to come.

The Overtones are the latest addition to Tyne Theatre & Opera House’s fantastic programme of shows for 2018. As the theatre goes from strength to strength it is busier than ever, with something to suit everyone’s tastes. From big name comedians like Joe Lycett, Sarah Millican and Dylan Moran to musicians such as Heather Small and dazzling musicals, Tyne Theatre & Opera House shows are the hottest ticket in town.

Theatre Director Joanne Johnson says: “We can’t wait to welcome The Overtones to our stage. Their infectious, upbeat show in the intimate surrounds of our theatre will be a treat for fans of the band – we’re certainly expecting dancing in the aisles!”

Tickets for The Overtones are priced at £35.50 & £25.50. VIP tickets are available at £85.50. VIP tickets include premium seats, early arrival at the venue for an intimate performance by the band, a question and answer session, an exclusive gift chosen by The Overtones and a custom laminate and lanyard.
