Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 14.45.42A pioneering sustainable transport organisation has expanded into Darlington.

Parose Projects, headquartered in London, has launched a base in Business Central’s co-working facility, Open Space.

The forward thinking firm, which boasts an impressive clientele including regional transport body Transport for London (TFL), aims to make places better to live, work and play, through improved public realm and smarter travel.

Speaking about the move, Nick Butler, Parose Projects’ senior transport planner, said: “As a leading transport organisation, where better to be based than the home of the first passenger railway!

“With plans to develop our existing relationships here in the North of England, as well as grow our client base, having a business address in Darlington is very important to us.”

Parose Projects recently delivered Personalised Travel Planning training to Darlington Borough Council’s team of Local Motion Travel Advisors and is also working closely with Durham County Council delivering training on a new Workplace Travel Plan monitoring system.

Nick added: “The Open Space arrangement is perfect for any growing business or professionals on the move. It allows our staff the opportunity to work in an office environment when they need to.

“As we organically grow in the region, we will be keen to secure a permanent office in Business Central, which we have already discussed with them.”

Speaking about the transportation links, Nick said: “They are wonderful! There is cycle parking available, bus routes nearby and of course the East Coast mainline is right on our doorstep.”

Vanessa Wood, Business Central centre manager, added: “I am delighted to welcome Parose Projects into our Open Space facility and look forward to their continued growth and putting down permanent roots here in the heart of Darlington.”

Business Central is located in the Central Park Enterprise Zone, Darlington. The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) is working with Darlington Borough Council and the £6.6 million project has been supported with funding from the European Regional Development Fund and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Open Space provides broadband, digital telecoms, lockers, access to meeting rooms, and complimentary refreshments. Monthly membership packages start from just £52 per month, for more information please visit http://www.businesscentraldarlington.co.uk/ or call Vanessa Wood on 01325 526 006.
