DD_DB-4 EditMarch promises to be a steamy affair at The Phoenix Theatre, Blyth when a tribute to one of Hollywood’s all-time hottest movies comes to the Northumberland venue.

“An Evening of Dirty Dancing – The Tribute Show” hits the stage of the Phoenix Theatre, Blyth on Thursday March 5th. It’s a must for all fans of the hit 1987 movie smash that took the world by storm; when people were immersed in the onscreen chemistry between ‘Johnny Castle’ (Patrick Swayze) and Frances “Baby” Houseman (Jennifer Grey).

Twenty-eight years on and interest in the film is stronger than ever with its soundtrack still able to get people dancing in the aisles.

“An Evening of Dirty Dancing – The Tribute Show” embarks on its 5th anniversary tour as it celebrates and pays 5-star homage to the anthemic music and songs. The show is often imitated but never bettered as it is the original celebration of the iconic music from the multi-award winning soundtrack to Dirty Dancing.

It has been described by many theatre-goers as a ‘high energy emotional roller coaster’ with breath-taking choreography and bucket loads of nostalgia.

The costumes, hip-thrusting dance moves and toe-tapping tunes make this a must-have ticket!

This is a wonderful evening out for families, hen nights, theatre groups and film lovers.

You can get your tickets priced at £19 / £18 (concs) from The Phoenix Theatre, Blyth box office by calling 01670 367 228, online via www.thephoenixtheatre.org.uk or in person Mon-Fri 10am-12.30pm / Saturday 10am-2pm.

Alternatively people can buy tickets on the evening of the performance but to avoid disappointment it’s advised to book in advance of the show.

Put your dancing shoes on and get ready to have the time of your life.
