Do you work in schools? As a classroom assistant, in administration or in other technical or estates roles? This professional development conference could be for you.

The Bridges to Learning partnership is holding a Professional Development Conference for schools staff in the Northern Region. It will focus on the autism spectrum and other topical issues arising in schools and will increase understanding.  It aims to enhance your working experience, help you progress and help the school you work in.

There will be a presentation by Jan Mather of the Open University entitled Understanding the Autism Spectrum.  There will also be workshops on ADHD awareness, working with children with autism, using iPads in the classroom, time management and dyslexia awareness.

The conference is sponsored by Bridges to Learning: a partnership between UNISON, The Open University and the WEA, which aims to develop and deliver learning progression pathways for UNISON members and potential members in education health and social care.

The conference is FREE to Unison members. Non-members are welcome, cost £10 payable on the day.
