A RAPIDLY growing online business directory has undergone a revamp by its North-East creator to give users the latest tools to promote their companies, services and brands.

With the aim of surpassing the fierce competition of big name directories such as Yell.com, free directory bizify has this week been relaunched to include a host of new features, allowing registered users to improve their listings with promotional videos, blogs and images and achieve better social media integration.

Head of marketing Kirsty Nevison said the upgrades will help establish bizify as “an industry leader in an ever-changing marketplace”.

“We wanted to be ahead of the curve and at the forefront of creating a business directory that stands out in the industry as a real ‘go-to’ for information,” she said.

“bizify is built on the expertise of seasoned SEO (search engine optimisation) professionals, which means not only will the listings promote businesses and services, but it will get customers ranking in search engine results pages.”

bizify has amassed almost 750,000 registered businesses since its launch in 2012 and continues to grow rapidly. It offers users a platform to promote their companies and services online, in turn generating traffic to their websites, attracting customers, improving social engagement and increasing brand awareness.

The directory has been built inhouse by SEO specialists at digital marketing company Espresso Web, which has its head office on Middlesbrough’s Riverside Park.

A team of developers has worked to revamp the design and ease of use of the bizify website, to improve the overall user experience and allow businesses to include additional information in their listings, such as opening times, special offers and reviews.

bizify has also improved its social media integration, allowing customers to add links to their various profiles on sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

“In this day and age, social media is the first port of call for customers when looking to contact a company, so having these links to bizify to improve engagement,” explained Kirsty.

“Social media platforms tend to be a ‘go to’ for reviews, gaining trust in a company and finding further information, so this way bizify gives the end customer as much information and methods of contact as possible.”
