A leading North East IT solutions company is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since the organisation’s humble beginnings, Perfect Image has grown into a major full service IT provider, working with hundreds of businesses across the UK.
Perfect Image was founded in 1991 by Andrew Robson, CEO. Andrew set up the business after graduating from the University of Cambridge with an MA in Computer Science. His first employee joined the business a year later and the company has continued to go from strength-to-strength, now employing over 100 members of staff.
From its base in Cobalt Business Park, Perfect Image works with a range of customers including The North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC), Bellway and Barbour. It delivers high quality, end-to-end IT services to a wide range of companies from blue chips and the public sector to high-tech start-ups.
Andrew Robson, CEO of Perfect Image, said: “I set up Perfect Image back in 1991 and originally ran the company from my bedroom, achieving a turnover of around £100,000 in the first year. From this modest start I’ve worked hard to develop the brand and shape our delivery so that we continue to excel in customer service and bespoke technical delivery.
“I’m delighted to be celebrating our 25th anniversary with our stakeholders, loyal customers and staff. We’ve worked with hundreds of clients over the years across a huge range of sectors including national brands Halfords, Zurich Insurance and PwC.
“Our focus is on using the very best technology to benefit our clients’ businesses, not for the sake of technology. What we expect from IT has come a long way since I started the business – we’re about six months younger than the web – so the game has changed tremendously and it’s vital businesses stay up-to-date and embrace new ways of working.
“It’s such an exciting time. Turnover reached £7.5 million last year after growth of over 30 percent which we’re working to build on again this year. Our key offerings such as the cloud, applications and analytics help us to deliver real results for our customers – all with great service levels and a focus on meeting or exceeding our customers’ needs.”
The company recently held a special race day event for over 150 guests at Newcastle Racecourse in celebration of its anniversary year. The event included presentations from Microsoft and PwC and focused on emerging technologies and cyber security. The company has a number of other exciting activities planned to celebrate this significant milestone with staff.

Over the past year, Perfect Image has won contracts with a number of new customers across the North East, establishing the company as major IT player in the region, including Fairstone Group, Auckland Castle and Arcinova.
