Return the Form so you can Vote

41,000 households in Hambleton are being asked to look out for their annual household enquiry form which should be arriving through their doors shortly.

The electoral register is updated every year and it is a legal requirement to complete and return the form to ensure that everyone who is entitled to register to vote is able to do so.

The form is pre-printed with the current details held for that address and for the majority of households completing it – means checking the information is correct and updating any details that need to be changed.

This can either be done online at www.householdresponse.com/hambleton, returning the form in the pre-paid envelope provided for posting or if there are no changes to be made
ringing 0800 197 9871 – you will need the security codes that are printed on the form.

Households are asked to return the form by 15 September to save a reminder having to be sent or a personal visit to your home.

“In particular we are encouraging anyone who has recently moved address to look out for the form because we know that recent home movers are far less likely to be registered than
those that have lived at the same address for a long time,” said Dr Justin Ives, Electoral Registration Officer at Hambleton.

Any new electors added to the enquiry form will be sent an additional form to enable them to register to vote, although you can also register online at www.gov.uk/register-to- vote

Further information about the electoral register can be found on hambleton.gov.uk/electoralregister and residents who have questions can contact the Council by calling 01609 779977 or emailing elecreg@hambleton.gov.uk
