Leicester Riders have signed DeAndre Burnett to their roster ahead of the Basketball Champions League qualifier on Thursday at the Morningside Arena.
Burnett joins the Riders out of Ole Miss, where he averaged 13.6 points per game alongside 4 assists in his final collegiate season and replaces the injured Niem Stevenson, who returns to the US for treatment.
“Picking up DeAndre Burnett, we feel that he is an explosive guard that can do many things and will complement our roster really well,” said head coach Rob Paternostro.
“He had a really good career in the SEC for Ole Miss, not only was he a three point threat but got to the foul line close to 6 times per game putting pressure on the defence.
“We are excited about seeing him wearing a Riders jersey.”
The American guard joined the team this team this week as preparations for the Champions League continues for the Riders.
