Rob Richings heads to ARC Stockton later this month when supporting London’s Tom Baxter, both having released some new material of late.

For Richings it’s a welcome return to the north-east having supported Hazel O’Connor at Sage Gateshead twelve months ago as well as having toured with Baxter, Ramin Karimloo and rockabilly guitarist, Darrel Higham, in recent years.

Now, having returned from Ireland (with Baxter), and on the back of releasing his new EP, Lately I’ve Been Wondering, Richings is again aiming for music’s heady heights.

“The plan is to keep putting out EP’s and changing up sounds while staying true to what we believe in – simple, honest songs sung the way I sing them.

“It’s the only way I know,” said Rob.

“I have very fond memories of the free and easy lifestyle we had in the countryside in County Waterford and all the nights sat in the these little rural bars listening to and playing music.

“I’m thrilled to be heading back with my guitar – but I’ll be doing my songs this time!”

Rob Richings will be supporting Tom Baxter at ARC Stockton on Wednesday 17 October with tickets available from the venue via http://arconline.co.uk/whats-on/music/tom-baxter-0 (pre-show dinners are also available).
