Golfers wanting to improve their game can benefit from a new app powered with the help of technology from Newcastle-based shinobicontrols.
Arccos Golf, a US-based start-up firm combining technology with a passion for the game of golf, has just launched its latest product, Arccos Driver. This state-of-the-art performance tracking system uses a feature-rich smartphone app, together with a single club sensor, to help golfers measure precise distances, track shots and analyse their overall performance on the course. The information is brought to life using charts and data visualisation tools supplied by shinobicontrols.
shinobicontrols’ Chief Operating Officer Stuart Grey said: “Arccos, through both Arccos Driver and its master product Arccos Golf, is delivering real-time insights to help golfers get to, and stay at the top of their game, without asking them to change their behaviour or giving them any extra work to do.
“The technology, through the use of bluetooth sensors and GPS, fits seamlessly into their game. Distance to the pin, greens in regulation and average distance achieved are measured along with many more and then presented in real-time, usingshinobicontrols.”
“Our customers wanted to view their stats in real-time on the golf course, and engaging with shinobicontrols has allowed us to exceed customer expectations in a matter of months.
“We had to find a solution that could handle the large amount of data that our sensors collect, but also be customisable so the charts would fit with our design requirements and match the look and feel of our wider brand.”
