The Institute of Directors (IoD) has revealed the names of the business leaders who will compete for its prestigious Director of the Year awards.
The winners for Yorkshire and the North East will be named at a black-tie dinner at the Principal York hotel on 5 July. They will go forward to the national Director of the Year finals.
Special guest speakers at the awards will be Stephen Martin, the new director general of the IoD and Lord Nash, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Schools. The evening will be hosted by broadcaster Danni Hewson.
Entertainment will be provided by musician Ellie Coast and magician Scott Perry.
The judging panel was chaired by Richard Tuplin, regional director (north) of Jelf Insurance Brokers. He said: “I’d like to thank the judges for their efforts in choosing this year’s top directors. The scene is set for an evening of business excellence and superb entertainment on 5 July.”
