Their shop will specialise in cakes and cupcakes fresh to order for all ages and occasions, served with specialist tea, coffee and beverages.

The songbird bakery journey started just over two years ago. While working together, Shelley and Claire quickly learnt they both had the same passion for baking delicious cakes.

Their dream to have their own unique cake shop in Teesside is finally happening. They decided that Bedford Street, Middlesbrough was the place to build their cake making empire.

“Our vision is clear, we want our customers to be able to sit and enjoy our products in a London inspired market environment, in the heart of Teesside”.

After undergoing a complete revamp, Bedford Street in Middlesbrough will become a big part to any food lovers in the area. Songbird Bakery is alongside seven other independent food and beverage businesses that are set to become Middlesbrough’s new foodie market.

“We truly believe Songbird’s slick brand and high quality products meet with the standards of this transformation and we are happy to be part of it”.

Songbird Bakery is expected to open around Easter time, ready to cater for all your delicious treats. Please see our Facebook for the TBC opening day here.
