Redcar_and_Cleveland_Borough_CouncilREDCAR and Cleveland will be transformed into a Halloween spooktacular as ghosts, monsters and creepy crawlies take over the borough.

The main event takes place at the Scream Factory, which is based at Kirkleatham Museum. There is a Twilight Tour, for younger people to have wander through the exhibit, or the more sinister Extreme Tour for those who are feeling extra brave. The Twilight Tour takes place on 30th and 31st October, and the Extreme Tour runs up until 31st October. Tickets are £5 each for the Twilight Tour with the Extreme Tour costing £13.50 online or £15 on the door.

At Flatts Lane on Halloween day itself, zombies and other beasts won’t be able to get close as kids can take part in archery and crossbow sessions with crafts, face painting and ghoulish treats in the visitor centre.

Towards the end of the week, Redcar’s market with have a distinctly scary theme as all manner of Halloween treats are up for sale on the High Street on Friday October 30, and Saturday, October 31. On both days there will also be pumpkin carving sessions, face painting and balloon modelling to get everyone into the Halloween spirit.

Rounding out a week of Halloween events is a day of magic as Tom Rolfe brings his Halloween Spooktacular Magic Show to Tuned In! on Sunday, November 1. Shows take place at 11.00am,1.00pm and 3.00pm with tickets costing £5 available to purchase at reception.

Councillor Carl Quartermain, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills, and Leisure, said: “I can’t wait to see the borough completely transformed by Halloween, the sheer number of events in all corners of the borough is brilliant.

“Hopefully as many people as possible can come down and take in all these brilliant Halloween events and make use of the half-term holiday!”
