“Spooky” Retailers Wanted For Middlesbrough Halloween Market

“Spooky” retailers are wanted by Dundas Indoor Market and Shopping Centre for a special two week Halloween Market, during the centre’s busiest retailing period, from 18 to 31 October.

Middlesbrough’s only indoor market is extending its successful monthly Food and Craft Market from two days to two weeks to cover the half term school holidays and the fortnight before Halloween.

The special market will be led by a pop up shop from the Dundas Shopping Centre’s Festival Shop which each year sells a wide range of ghostly goods, with staff dressed up in Halloween costumes, masks and make-up.

“With the Festival Shop known across Teesside for its spectacular costumes and displays and all our national retailers such as Boyes, B&M, Cooplands, and our independent shops and market traders joining in, Halloween is a month long celebration in Dundas Shopping Centre and is our busiest retailing period.  This year we want to make it even better by extending our monthly two day market to two weeks, and are calling on retailers to get in touch if they want to take a stall,” says Dundas Market Manager David Harris.

“In an average week the shopping centre benefits from a footfall of around 60,000, but around Halloween this increases significantly.  It is already a popular place to trade in Middlesbrough with the shopping centre fully occupied and a number of new traders joining the market in the past few weeks.”
