Stockton legal firm to play pivotal role in Tees Valley’s growth

Teesside’s leading commercial legal firm has been appointed to Tees Valley Combined Authority’s prestigious advisory panel.

Endeavour Partnership has been selected to assist the Combined Authority with its aim of driving economic growth and job creation in the area.

Endeavour’s team will work with the Combined Authority to provide legal advice on areas including property development, planning, construction, employment and contracts, tax and data protection, to name a few.

Managing partner, Paul Bury, said “We are incredibly proud and excited to have been appointed to the Combined Authority’s legal panel. We were able to demonstrate that we have the experience and strength to be able to provide legal advice on some of the most exciting regeneration projects the region has seen for years, and this is a clear demonstration of the Combined Authority backing local business”.

Tees Valley Combined Authority was created in April 2016 to drive economic growth and job creation in the area. Chaired by the Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen, it is a partnership of five authorities – Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton, working closely with the business community and other partners to support the growth of the local economy. Under the devolution deal with Government, the Combined Authority is taking on new responsibilities previously held by Westminster and Whitehall in areas such as transport, infrastructure, skills, business investment, housing, culture and tourism.

Tees Valley Combined Authority’s legal and commercial manager, Julie Prior, said “We are looking forward to working with the team at Endeavour. It’s great to be engaging with a successful local firm to help deliver our bold ambitions for the future prosperity of Tees Valley.”

At the end of 2017, Endeavour Partnership announced its most successful year in the firm’s 18-year history, remaining on track to deliver its five-year business planning objective of doubling its turnover during this period.

The Teesdale firm currently employs a team of 54 and hopes to create around six new jobs in 2018.

Endeavour Partnership has a reputation spanning over 18 years in providing high quality advice on a range of business law matters including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment and pensions, business immigration, commercial property and corporate recovery and insolvency from its headquarters at Teesdale in Stockton.

The firm was again recognised as one of the North East’s top corporate and commercial practices in the prestigious Legal 500 and Chambers guides with every department highly ranked.
