Ageing Better Middlesbrough and Marks and Spencer are inviting Middlesbrough residents aged over 50 to an exclusive look behind the scenes at the popular town centre store on Thursday, September 14.

The event runs from 5pm to 8pm and is just one of many taster sessions, activities and events, organised by Ageing Better Middlesbrough. This local organisation is supported by Big Lottery Fund using National Lottery Funding and aims to tackle loneliness and social isolation in people aged 50 and over.

Linda said: “We have a really good relationship with the team at Marks and Spencer Middlesbrough and we are very grateful for their support.

“This great evening event will help people come together in a safe and fun way, hopefully sparking conversations and friendships.”

Terri-Anne Rigg, Marks and Spencer Middlesbrough Store Manager, said: “We love inviting our community into the store and finding out about people’s interests and their memories of the area.

“Our work with Ageing Better Middlesbrough is really important and we are proud to play a role in trying to tackle loneliness and social isolation in older people.”
