The Middlesbrough swimmer was recently selected as part of the 26-strong Team GB squad who will travel to South America to take part in Rio 2016 this August.

Twenty-three-year-old Aimee has already competed in London 2012, Commonwealth Games and World Championships and is now in training for the Rio games at London’s Olympic Park-based Aquatic Centre with her coach Lisa Bates, also from Middlesbrough.

Endeavour Partnership are providing Aimee with sponsorship to help with her training programme in London in the run up to the Olympic Games.

The legal firm supports a number of local good causes and charities as part of its commitment to the local Teesside community.

Staff at Endeavour Partnership hold key roles at a range of local charities with managing partner, Paul Bury, a trustee of Butterwick Hospice and a director of Safe in Tees Valley, and Lee Bramley, partner and head of corporate recovery and insolvency, a trustee of the Finlay Cooper Fund since its inception in August 2006.

In addition, several partners at Endeavour Partnership have been patrons of the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Fund since it was formed in 2011, which aims to raise and allocate funds to help community groups within Middlesbrough and across Teesside.

Managing partner at Endeavor Partnership, Paul Bury, said: “Aimee is a real inspiration as she heads for her second Olympic Games. We’re really proud to be able to support her in her quest to go for gold as she truly does fly the flag not just for Team GB but the North East region. We’re really excited to see her compete over the summer in Rio and all of our team will be watching on TV I’m sure.”

Aimee Willmott said: “To have the support of firms like Endeavour Partnership makes a real difference to me as I prepare for the Olympics this summer in Rio. Not only is it nice to know that Teesside is fully behind me, it also allows me to access some extra training camps around the world which should give me a greater chance of success at the games. It’s all very much appreciated.”
