‘Think big’ with latest adult learning prospectus

Learning new skills in North Tyneside has never been easier, with a flurry of courses and opportunities for adults to take part in.

North Tyneside Council’s Adult Learning service has once again teamed up with TyneMet College to offer their joint prospectus for adult learning and skills courses for 2017-18.

This year’s course guide is packed full of opportunities for participants to improve skills, enhance career prospects or simply try out something new.

Residents can sign up to study everything from engineering to jewellery-making, and from floristry to French. There is also a wide range of English, maths and IT courses available.

Elected Mayor Norma Redfearn said: “l am delighted that we are once again providing this fantastic prospectus for our residents.

“It is our aim as the council to support everyone to reach their full potential and this prospectus provides some of the best adult learning courses around.”

TyneMet College’s Principal Designate, Audrey Kingham, adds: “We offer a wide variety of part-time courses to help you to enhance your CV, progress in your career or discover a brand new interest.

“Offering a wide range of subject choices to local people is very important to us and ensures that we can provide something for everyone, whatever their area of interest. With over 200 courses to choose from, the opportunities are endless.”

The latest prospectus contains everything residents need to know about up-and-coming learning opportunities across the borough, and how to enrol on a programme of study.

Information about costs and how to pay are also included; many readers will find that they will be able to study for free, or at a reduced price. All of the courses listed have been designed to offer great value for money.

Physical copies of the prospectus will be available in customer first centres and libraries.
