Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

So you think you know about dinosaurs? At Tyne Theatre!

So you think you know about Dinosaurs is an interactive show for the whole family to enjoy, where you will find out everything you ever wanted to know about dinosaurs – and more!

Come along and test your knowledge against Ben Garrod (the TV scientist in ‘Attenborough and the Giant Dinosaur‘). With the help of TV film footage and photos of his own palaeontological dinosaur digs, Ben will share fascinating dino facts.

So you think you know about Dinosaurs? is an interactive show where children will be given the chance to ask questions and show off their dinosaur knowledge to the audience. Ben’s assistant will roam the auditorium with a microphone and take questions from as many children as possible. Using film footage from the BBC’s ‘Planet Dinosaur’, Ben will talk about the deadliest predators that ever roamed the planet and the ones that, 65 million years ago, would have walked right where we are sitting now.

Did dinosaurs eat their own families? Was every Tyrannosaur a fearsome carnivore? Why did Allosaurus headbutt its prey to death? These are just some of the questions you will find out the answers to!

Theatre Director Joanne Johnson says: “We can’t wait to welcome Ben Garrod to Tyne Theatre & Opera House to share his dinosaur knowledge! So you think you know about Dinosaurs? is a show that will fascinate grown-ups as well as children. Our theatre programme for 2017 is already filling up with some fantastic family shows, including Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom in March, The Wizard of Oz Easter Panto in April and musical favourite Annie in June, and I’m thrilled that we can make a visit to Tyne Theatre & Opera House an experience that can be enjoyed by the whole family.”
