Trafalgar Day Parade and Service in Middlesbrough

MIDDLESBROUGH Sea Cadets host the annual Trafalgar Day Parade and Service on Sunday, October 29.

The Cadets and staff will form up at 11.15am at the East Lodge at Albert Park before marching to the South African War Memorial where they will be met by dignitaries for the march to the Cenotaph.

Following the Service, the Parade will march through the park gates for the salute to be taken at the War Memorial.

This year’s event marks the 212th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, and will be attended by Sir Harry Wilmot, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire.

The parade is a commemoration of Admiral Lord Nelson who defeated the French and Spanish fleet off Cape Trafalgar in 1805 despite being outnumbered and out-gunned.
