Screen Shot 2015-10-28 at 15.20.33Three members of staff at Dodds Brown LLP, the largest independent commercial property surveying practice headquartered on Teesside, have completed training courses to improve their business skills.

Facilities Manager Craig Parrish has become a Non-Domestic Energy Assessor to add to his qualification as a Domestic Energy Assessor.  Having passed the Level Three course, Mr Parrish can now carry out energy assessments and produce certificates for 95% of commercial buildings, as well as for mixed use properties.

Administration Assistant Katherine Guest has achieved a Level Two NVQ in Business Administration with Maths, English and IT, and has completed more than three quarters of the Level Three NVQ Diploma in Business Administration qualification.  The year long course includes one day’s tuition every two weeks at the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) training centre in Middlesbrough.  Ms Guest is confident that she will be successful and is already planning to study for her Level Four NVQ next year.

Nicole Turner, Accounts Assistant in Dodds Brown’s Property and Facilities Management Team, also undertook day release training at the NECC training centre in Middlesbrough.  She has just completed an Intermediate Diploma in Accounting, also known as AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.  Ms Turner plans to start her Advanced Diploma in Accounting, also known as AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting, in December.

According to Nina Brown, Dodds Brown’s Human Resources Manager, all three staff members have benefitted professionally and personally from the training programmes which have been funded by the company.

She says: “As a firm which is growing and wants to make sure it maintains and improves its levels of service for its clients, continuous training and professional development of all our people is vital.

“As a result of their training Craig, Katherine and Nicole are already better at their jobs.  They are more confident in their roles and able to contribute even more to the success of the firm.”
