Growing North East light commercial vehicle rental company, Transflex, has been named as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in the North East.
Now in its 20th year, the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 list highlights and celebrates the achievements of fast-growing, profitable companies in the region by compiling and publishing an annual list of the 50 fastest growing privately-owned businesses across the North East.
It’s the latest piece of good news for the company which was recently acquired by TOM Vehicle Rental – making the business the third largest light commercial, flexible rental business in the UK.
Transflex and TOM Vehicle Rental collectively have a fleet of more than 16,000 vans, trucks, trailers and cars across a UK wide depot network of 15 sites including five in the North of England, six in Scotland and four in the South.
Transflex will now go forward to the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 Awards 2017 on Friday 6 October, where accolades will be given to the fastest growing large, medium and small businesses in the region as well as an award for the overall fastest growing business.
Transflex provides businesses with flexible commercial vehicle hire and has had a strong year of growth with numerous expansions, recruitment drives and accolades.

The Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 has been published every year since 1998 and is compiled and organised by law firm Ward Hadaway, which has offices in Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester.

Founded in Stockton in 2012, Transflex Vehicle Rental was named as one of the UK’s fastest growing companies on the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 list at position 13.
Following the recent sale to TOM Vehicle Rental, both brands continue to operate in the UK market serving their well established customer bases.
Transflex currently employs over 85 people across four branches – Stockton, Buckingham and Warrington and Bristol. It provides flexible rental vehicles for businesses, offering their customers the freedom to change or return vehicles at any time without notice or penalty.
