Tyne Bank Brewery is delighted to announce two new major additions to its work force
Megan Dryden brings four years of experience to a new role as Business Development Manager at the Newcastle-based brewery, while Alan Dunlop has joined the team as Head Brewer – also with four years experience as a Brewer in Madrid and Scotland.
Dryden‘s role will be identifying sales leads, pitching the Tyne Bank Brewery offer to new clients, and maintaining a good working relationship with clients – both new and existing.
Dryden graduated with a BSc in Communications and Public Relations and worked as a Marketing and Administration Assistant during her studies. Her previous experience includes tenures in the sales departments at Revolution Bars Group PLC, Aveika and Danieli Holdings Limited.
Dryden’s most recent experience saw her as Client Development Executive at The Instant Group, where her key responsibilities included: account management; hitting daily KPIs; developing business in line with company objectives and monthly targets and building relationships with new and existing clients.
Says Dryden:
“The role at Tyne Bank Brewery taps into my previous knowledge and experience, whilst also offering a new challenge to get stuck into. I hope to embody the fact that I am proud of the brand, both inside and outside of work.”
Alan Dunlop, as Head Brewer, will be overseeing the brewing process, developing new recipes, experimenting with innovative flavours and ensuring the brewery’s beers are the best they can be.
Dunlop first encountered the brewing industry in Madrid, where he worked as a Brewer at Fabrica Maravillas, after being made redundant from his position as Catalogue Campaign Manager at EMI Music Spain.
An enthusiastic Brewer, Dunlop went on to work at Williams Bros. Brewing Co. in Alloa for 18 months and Six°North in Stonehaven for a year, before accepting the position of Head Brewer at Tyne Bank Brewery.
