Vale Radio Launches On DAB Digital Radio

Chris and Dougie 1On Monday the 5th October, North Yorkshire’s newest radio station hits the airwaves of DAB Digital Radio.

Just over a year ago, Vale Radio was born…since then, a strong team of 25 professional broadcasters have grown an audience of popularity and now have been granted a DAB digital radio license to broadcast to the whole of North Yorkshire.

Already in the UK’s biggest county, 400,000 people listen to DAB Digital Radio, which is growing month by month. Vale Radio will be bringing it’s local information and great music to even more listeners and a growing fan base.

Vale Radio is a not-for-profit limited company, since it’s launch, has managed to help raise in excess of £60,000 for charities and local groups. The radio station is volunteer based with a team of 25 people. All residual funds raised through advertising and sponsorship is placed back into the local area through a grant scheme.

A great mixture of music from all genres can be heard, from classical, to country, pop, to rock, folk to brass bands – there’s something for everybody.
