Stone Technical Services’ (STS) has clinched a raft of new deals around the UK totalling over half a million pounds.
All five of its divisions are now working on various projects for Texaco, Mitchells and Butlers, Yorkshire Water and the Royal Courts of Justice.
STS Lightning Protection has been contracted by Texaco to carry out surge and lightning protection surveys at a site at St Fergus near Aberdeen as well as for Yorkshire Water at sewerage works across the Yorkshire region. Both of these projects involve reviews of lightning protection systems, testing, design and risk assessments.
In London, STS Restoration has returned to the Royal Courts of Justice to carry out a full heritage survey and repair project on aspects including decorative chimney stacks, the roof, gantries and the masonry. STS has a longstanding working relationship with the site having carried out a number of projects there over the last five years and this is the company’s largest project there to date working with the Ministry of Justice and MITIE.
And STS Maintenance and Facilities Management is working with pub group Mitchells and Butlers at its sites in Leeds and Manchester to carry out repairs on a range of heritage buildings to ensure they are winter-ready.
The new contracts follow a successful summer for STS which also launched a new rope access division to cope with the growing number of contracts.

But it’s also very important to us that our reputation leads to new jobs with major names too so that we can create jobs and opportunities for people at our Darlington HQ.”
STS employs a team of 40 and is ahead of its growth plans for 2016 thanks to a successful year so far.
The company is made up of five divisions – STS RopeSpec, STS Lightning Protection, STS Restoration, STS Maintenance and Facilities Management and STS Conservation.
