Local hospice, Willow Burn, based in Lanchester are offering one very lucky couple the chance win their Happily Ever After with an incredible dream wedding package worth over £12,000!
This is the first time that the Hospice have launched such an amazing venture and are welcoming entries from all engaged couples to win this exclusive wedding brought together from a multitude of generous local suppliers.
The package includes a full day and evening wedding at South Causey Inn, Stanley, a significant contribution towards a wedding dress from Lanchester Bridal, 2 men’s suits from Woven, a bridesmaid’s dress from AJ Bridal, two platinum wedding bands from Moon Jewellery, two bouquets and six buttonholes from Cindy’s Flowers, a wedding cake from Cakes by Judith, stylish travel for bridal party from Stanley Travel and Paul Jackson, a wedding photography package from James Walton Photography, a video of the big day from Durham Wedding Video, table favours and stationary from Diamond and Lace Events, a photo booth for your reception from Snap Junkie Photo Booth, bridal hair styling from Planet Hair, evening entertainment from singer Anthony Stringer, first dance tuition from Lorraine Murray, wedding extras from SHAW’s Budget Wedding and Party Supplies, an online wedding planning tool from Our Wedding Moment’s and then jet off on honeymoon using the fabulous contribution from Holiday Stylists too!

Entries are now open for couples to take part. Registration is free and closes midnight 25th September. To take part, entrants must submit their story on our registration forms before the closing date. These will then be shortlisted and the couples informed. Then, on 1 st October couples are encouraged to raise as much money as possible for Willow Burn Hospice until Monday 12 th December – the couple who raises the most money for Willow Burn wins! All couples will be given full support and encouragement throughout the campaign. It’s a fun and exciting way to win your wedding!
All the suppliers are donating their services or goods completely free of charge and are all very keen to be involved. Cindy of Cindy’s Flowers said; “Willow Burn is an excellent cause and although it’s sad that they [Willow Burn] need to fundraise to operate, this event is fantastic and I’m really happy to be a part of it”.
Lorna Shaw of SHAW’s Budget Wedding and Party Supplies said; “Ours is a brand new business and as newly-weds we fully understand the costs of the extras of a wedding. We are really excited to be part of this event and working with the lucky couple for their big day!”.
