The Works expand their digital service offering

Chester-le-Street based full-service creative, marketing and digital agency The Works has appointed a new Digital Services Co-ordinator – a new role created by the company to expand their digital offering to current and future clients.

Alex Alderson joined the agency’s digital team earlier this year, specialising in search engine optimisation (SEO). In his new role, Alex will utilise both the technical and creative elements of SEO to help clients improve their rankings, increase online visibility and drive traffic to their websites as well as managing PPC campaigns and social media advertising.

Ian Oswald, one of the managing partners at The Works, said: “A strong online presence is so important for our clients these days, so we wanted someone that could focus specifically on improving SEO full time for our clients. Since Alex started we have already seen massive improvements in the rankings for several of our clients and are glad to have him on board.”

Alex has worked in the digital marketing sector for nearly four years working with clients including The Painted Furniture Company, Dormeo and Steelite International.

Alex said: “I’m delighted I have secured a permanent contract at The Works. As an agency, we work with some really interesting clients – I’m excited to learn more about them!”

With recent additions to the team, The Works has now grown to become a strong team of 21 who offer advertising, digital, PR and marketing services.
