There’s something in the water at Asda Stockton that’s got the team coming back for more as fourteen colleagues celebrate reaching the milestone of 450 years of service between them.
Upon realising their fantastic service milestone, the long-serving colleagues got together to mark the occasion and reminisce about their years of service with a celebratory photo in the store they’ve dedicated so much time to.
Colleagues, Ann Meggeson, Christine Ridley, Lisa Jones, Sandra Jean Tinkler, Andrea Hunter, Shirley Sedgewick and Linda Dalkin have all been members of the Asda family for over 30 years each and were all smiles when asked about their time with the store.
Andrea Hunter, shop floor assistant celebrating 35 years of service, said; “I’ve had so many fantastic memories since I first joined Asda and I wouldn’t change those memories for the world.
“I love seeing the same faces week in week out – everyone is so friendly and they never fail to make me smile.
“The last 35 years have absolutely flown by, it really is so nice to be part of a community at work and we really are like family here.”
Allan Purvis, store manager at Asda Stockton, said; “We have quite a few long-serving colleagues here, and they absolutely love the job; they’re just a joy to work with.
“We are proud of all our colleagues at Asda Stockton and are especially proud of those fourteen dedicated colleagues for their consistent hard work over many, many years. They really have made the store feel like a community and I’d like to thank them for their outstanding loyalty.
