200 JOBS have been announced in the region in the lead-up to Christmas by Newcastle contact centre Echo-U as it gears up for a surge in demand, giving locals the opportunity to earn extra money.
The quayside-based contact centre is looking for candidates to fill full-time and part-time customer service advisor roles to work on behalf of its award-winning courier client, DPD.
The new seasonal recruits will be supporting the company in its peak season when the number of parcels delivered will significantly increase throughout the UK. Successful candidates will work across all customer contact departments and will be responsible for managing customer enquiries over the phone, email, app and social media channels.
The flexible roles are ideal for those looking to boost their income in the run up to Christmas or for anyone interested in returning to work as comprehensive training is provided by Echo-U’s customer service experts in a professional environment.
David Blakey, joint owner and director at Echo-U, said: “The festive period is a truly exciting, but busy time at Echo-U. As we prepare for one of the busiest periods of the year we are looking for individuals with an enthusiastic approach to customer service.
“With the opportunity to work across an inbound campaign for an award-winning courier, our seasonal roles are ideal for anyone looking for flexible hours or to make some extra money as they prepare for Christmas. We provide a full training programme ensuring people are on track to provide outstanding customer service so experience isn’t essential. Our city centre base means our recruits have access to great transport links in the heart of our bustling city centre and quayside.”
Echo-U’s full-time and part-time seasonal positions are available now and throughout the autumn. Anyone interested in applying for a temporary customer service advisor role at Echo-U with the potential opportunity to progress to a permanent role should visit www.echo-u.co.uk/careers or attend the St. James’ Park Customer Service Jobs Fair on Thursday October 4, 2018 to meet the team.
