Anything but a ‘Silent Night’ at The Botanist this Christmas

THIS December The Botanist is helping Geordies to countdown the days until Christmas and feel suitably festive by hosting a Christmas singalong.

Led by a local choir and pianist on Sunday 17 December from 4pm onwards, all ages are welcome to sing their hearts out to the nation’s much-loved seasonal songs and Christmas carols.

Surrounded by the pub’s festive display of decorations and twinkling lights, those who attend are guaranteed to be in Christmas spirits ahead of the last week before the big day arrives.

Before the singalong begins, budding vocalists are invited to arrive early and tuck into The Botanist’s Christmas menu, which includes a returning festive favourite. The Botanist’s iconic hanging kebab has had a festive makeover, offering a unique take on the traditional Christmas lunch.

The Turkey Hanging Kebab combines the best elements from a classic Christmas plate, and is accompanied by a spiced cranberry glaze with a bowl of roasted potatoes and winter vegetables, alongside a pot of pouring gravy. Alternatively, for something a little different, an array of steak, fish and vegetarian dishes are also available on the Christmas menu.

Grownup singers can warm up the vocal chords with a cup of The Botanist’s mulled wine, hot spiced cider or limited edition Budweis Mule – a botanical twist on the classic Moscow Mule.

Entry to the Christmas singalong is free and no reservation is required. For those looking to book a table in the restaurant, call 0191 261 6307 or email newcastlebookings@thebotanist.uk.com.
