Northern based business communications firm Signal Telecom are celebrating after receiving two national excellence awards from network operator O2. The awards, for digital expertise and customer service, are given to O2 network partners who display exceptional standards.

The O2 Digital Excellence Award focusses on digital knowledge, capability and performance, while the O2 Customer Excellence Award was based on real customer surveys and recognises exceptional customer support, service, and retention.

The O2 Direct Partner is one of only eleven nationwide to have won both awards

O2 stated that the awards were created in order to “reward a partner’s overall capability to provide world-class customer support and high level of digital knowledge and expertise, instead of grouping them by their scale and size alone.”

A recent example of this support was experienced recently by Chris Musgrave, Chairman and CEO of Wynyard Park Ltd, a customer of over 20 years. “Due to the nature of my business, my communications are extremely important to me so when my phone stopped working whilst out of the country on business I was devastated. Signal Telecom came to the rescue and had a brand new phone delivered at my hotel the very next day. Beat that for service!”

Jason Phillips, Head of Partners for O2 Business said “These awards represent a shift in the way we work, as we become more intentional in our focus on world-class customer support and digital knowledge and expertise. We are rewarding partners who have successfully made that shift with us.”

A spokesperson for Signal Telecom said: “We’re delighted to have won these two awards, and it really illustrates how far we’ve come as an organisation. We began trading 25 years ago with just one employee. To go from such small beginnings to a 50-strong company and winning prestigious national awards is a testament to our team and our customers.”
