Bannatyne Health Club Darlington’s new cafe bar fuelled and ready to go

The Bannatyne Group is investing £80,000 in an exciting new café bar at its Darlington health club, which will offer members and spa guests healthy eating options in well-appointed surroundings.

The new café bar at the club, located on Haughton Road, is part of an ongoing programme of investment by The Bannatyne Group at all of its health clubs, spas and hotels.

It is designed with the comfort and convenience of guests in mind, with TVs, flooring and furniture that is both attractive and functional.

The number of covers has doubled to 50 and the club has taken on six new staff to cope with the growing demand for refreshments, which will shortly include Starbucks coffee.

The Bannatyne Café Bar offers an array of dishes, the majority of which contain less than 500 calories, with the nutritional value clearly displayed on the menu, allowing customers to monitor their calorie and protein intake as part of their health and wellbeing regime. In addition the offering caters for spa guests looking for something a little more indulgent during their pampering sessions.

Sue Stockdale, General Manager at Bannatyne Health Club Darlington, said: “I am very pleased with the new café bar, which provides customers with a relaxing area to enjoy a snack, meal or very soon a cup of Starbucks coffee.

“The café bar has an extensive menu and had become so popular that we were always really busy and almost always full, so the new provision is welcome news for staff and customers alike.”

Justin Musgrove, Chief Executive at The Bannatyne Group, said: “We are continually investing in our clubs and spas to ensure members and spa guests receive the very best experience possible. We’re always pleased to listen to feedback and the popularity of Darlington’s café bar meant that it needed investment so that it could meet, and exceed, the expectations of our customers.”
