Bongos, Beer and a Barbie This Bank Holiday

On Sunday, 28 August, Osbornes, Osborne Road, Jesmond, will be bringing the fun outdoors with drinks stations, food cooked al fresco and a line-up of the region’s top DJs – along with live music from a bongo player.

And event organiser, North East-based entertainment company Tempo Mental, hopes as many people as possible will come along to the free event, which follows the success of an earlier one, held at the venue in May.

Along with external bars serving Kopparberg, Scavi & Ray Champagne and Prosecco and Heineken, chefs from Osbornes – owned by leading Newcastle leisure company Malhotra Group plc – will be running a barbecue throughout the day and the venue’s Sheesha bar will also be open for business.

Photographers will also be on hand to provide mementoes of the event and there will be charity buckets for customers to donate to Osbornes’ nominated charity Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.

“Our last bank holiday event at Osborne’s, in May, raised £547.38 for the Trust’s SHINE charity and we hope to raise even more this time,” said event organiser Gareth Muers.

“It promises to be a brilliant day and we hope as many people as possible will come along.”

Tempo Mental at Osbornes will take place between 12 noon and 11pm. Further information can be obtained by calling 0191 240 7778 or visiting  www.osbornesjesmond.co.uk or via Facebook.com/tempomentaldj and
