The Botanist Launches its First Vegan Menu to Champion #Veganually

GEORDIE diners looking to continue their #Veganuary efforts can now choose from a dedicated menu of vegan dishes at The Botanist in Newcastle.

Dubbed #Veganually, the venue’s first fully vegan collection offers all three courses without compromising on flavour, including a special version of its trademark plate the Hanging Kebab.

Whether it’s a health choice, environmental ethos or simply a preference, the Monument Mall eatery is keen to cater for all palates in its own signature style.

Meat, egg and dairy-free starters include Truffle Mushrooms served on chargrilled ciabatta; Sesame Coated Falafel with Piri Piri sauce; and Roast Pepper, Soya Bean and Tomato Pil Pil (all £5.25).

Main course options comprise Sesame and Nigella Seed Falafel Kebab with vegetable couscous (£10.95); Beetroot, Red Onion and Fig Jam Tarte Tatin with candied walnut and apple salad (£8.95); and Malaysian Vegetable Curry with coriander rice (£9.95).

Dessert isn’t forgotten, with sweet treats on offer such as Grilled Pineapple and Watermelon Kebab with mulberry sorbet, coconut, chocolate and rum sauce; Banana, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ice Cream with salted peanut crumb; and Coconut Rice Pudding with minted pineapple salsa, raspberry coulis and toasted coconut (all £5.50).

The new vegan menu is available alongside the main menu from 12noon onwards. For more information and to book visit www.thebotanist.uk.com/locations/newcastle/menus/vegan-menuor call 0191 261 6307.
