A Bournemouth man’s amazing sporting knowledge and quick-fire responses under pressure saw him win £25,000 in the recent talkSPORT and Motorpoint competition – ‘Wheels of Fortune’.
With a stunning retail value prize of £25,000 to put towards a car from Motorpoint, prize winner Luke Smith, who lives in Wimborne and works in Bournemouth entered the talkSPORT x Motorpoint ‘Wheels of Fortune’ on a whim.
Luke said: “I am an avid talkSPORT listener and I really love sporting trivia so I thought I’d take my chances with this quiz – I never dreamed I might win it. I’ve never entered anything like this before so when I got the call from the talkSPORT team to be on the live radio quiz I was really thrilled.
“It has been an amazing experience from beginning to end. The moment I won was unforgettable and I could not quite believe it. But from the moment the Motorpoint team got in touch to confirm the good news I could not have been more thrilled. The whole team has been exceptional in taking the time to helping me find the car I really wanted. There is so much choice, all low mileage and so many brand options available at Motorpoint I spent a good amount of time looking. The car I have chosen is fantastic and I’m so pleased to have a Motorpoint in Portsmouth which is so close to where I live.”
Motorpoint, the UK’s largest independent retailer of nearly new cars and vans, decided to host the drive time quiz competition to help mark the auto retailers 25th anniversary.

Luke picked up his new car – an Audi A3 Saloon S3 Quattro from Motorpoint’s Portsmouth store on the London Road, Hilsea, Portsmouth.
