Brand new babysitting app launches in Newcastle

bubble, the babysitting service for finding a recommended sitter in your area, is launching across Newcastle this February.

The babysitting service has boomed in the capital with more than 40,000 parents and sitters currently using the app, scoring 9.4/10 on Trustpilot. Now, the company is venturing out of London, bringing its service to parents in and around the Newcastle area.

bubble prides itself on its approach to trust. The app uses social and community data to connect parents to the local babysitters that their friends know, use and love. On top of this, the app lets parents read the reviews left by other mums and dads on the babysitter before booking them. Every sitter on bubble is also cleared through an online identity and background check before their profile goes live.

The app also makes light work of payment, so there’s no need to have cash to pay the sitter at the end of the session – which is tracked to the minute on the app.

Ari Last commented: “As parents we know that when it comes to finding a brilliant babysitter for our kids, nothing is as powerful as a personal connection or recommendation. Our aim with bubble is to make finding trusted childcare – anytime, anywhere – an easy and fun experience.”

“What’s really excited us is that it’s not just helping parents with their social lives, but with their work lives too. bubble is providing parents – working mothers especially – with the flexible childcare solution they need in order to get back to and get on with work. We saw strong demand for the service in Newcastle so we’re really excited about rolling out in the area.

bubble has already seen over 100 sitters sign up with different backgrounds ranging from teachers, nannies and university students.

Bubble also caught the attention of major businesses last year with founders from Photobox, Betfair and boohoo.com among high-profile investors.
