British Basketball League News: High flying Giants

Manchester Giants, the only professional basketball club in the city, has been honoured by the development of a partnership with the Royal Air Force.

No strangers to the sport of basketball, the pioneering venture will utilise channels available to the Giants to further objectives for raising awareness in career opportunities with the RAF – and assist towards recruitment especially within the BAME and female sectors of the community.

For over 100 years, the Royal Air Force has been defending the UK and her interests. It promotes international peace and security by responding to threats, delivering humanitarian aid and securing the skies. From world class technology, to simple food packages, the RAF is engaged in 15 missions on 4 continents, in 22 countries.

In Manchester particularly, they focus on recruitment; there are over 50 roles available and they offer much more than a job, they offer a lifestyle, worldwide travel, professional training and lifelong friends.

The RAF are the oldest independent air force in the World, and since their formation have been a world leader for air and space power, providing an agile, adaptable and capable Air Force that person for person, is second to none, and one that makes a decisive air and space power contribution in support of the UK Defence Mission.
