Car Parking Review

A far reaching feasibility study into car parking provision in Hambleton is to be undertaken.

Members of the District Council’s Cabinet have agreed to look at a range of possible improvements – including provision for electric cars.

Payment options using apps and by phone, at the exit and systems where retailers can pay charges for customers will be looked into. And wider bays, height restriction barriers and improved security are also on the list for scrutiny.

The council has public car parks in Northallerton, Stokesley, Bedale, Thirsk and Easingwold – a total of 2300 spaces.

The review will take place over the coming months with a report expected back with Cabinet next spring
