CHRISTMAS IS GOING TO BE A BALL – THANKS TO HOPE4KIDZ

A NORTH EAST children’s charity is bringing the magic of the festive season to life – with its special fundraising masked ball.

Hope4Kidz, which supports young people across the region with special needs, is currently raising money for its Christmas programme of activities.

And it is now hoping people will help the charity by attending its Winter Wonderland Masked Ball, which is being held at Lumley Castle Hotel on Friday 29 November.

The annual event includes a drinks reception, three course dinner and a range of entertainment including a magician, live music from Manic Mondays and a DJ, as well as a range of auctions and raffles.

Along with being a great evening, the money raised will support a number of activities carried out by Hope4Kidz, including its annual Santa’s Christmas Party which supports up to 400 young people with special needs and their families.

It will also contribute to the annual Christmas toy selection box and toy appeal, where Hope4Kidz gives donations to more around 50 organisations and a number of hospitals.

Tickets for the Winter Wonderland Masked Ball cost just £55 each or £500 for a table of 10, with overnight accommodation at Lumley Castle Hotel – near Chester-le-Street – available at £95 per room, bed and breakfast.

Viv Watts, Chief Executive of Hope4Kidz said she hopes people would come along and support the event.

“Christmas is such a special time of year for everyone and what we try to do is put a smile on the faces of children whose families may not otherwise be able to ensure they get a gift from Santa Claus,” she said.

“Attending our ball is only a great way to support a worthy cause but it is always a fantastic night out and puts everyone in the Christmas spirit.”
